Der Bienengarten - ein Garten voller Leben

We invite you to discover the world of bees with us. In our bee-friendly garden, there’s something special to see almost every season. On a guided tour through the Bee Institute’s garden, we’ll show you the wonderful world of bees. We’ll tell you about the unique organization of a bee colony, its importance to nature, and how honey—a high-quality food—is produced. Traditional heathland beekeeping is introduced during a visit to the small museum. Together, we’ll also explore the habitats of wild and solitary bees, which are just as important for pollinating plants as honeybees. These insects are particularly easy to observe from March through June.

The guided tours are led alternately by Kerrit Riesbeck and Ulrike Eggers (freelance tour guides).
