Der Kommissar geht um - die Celler Kriminaltour
You’ll immerse yourself in the world of crime and join “Inspector Cellander” on his crime-solving tour through the streets and alleys of Celle, following the trail of notable criminal cases. Highlights of the tour: Unusual methods of torture and executions in the Middle Ages, as well as spectacular murder cases and hostage-takings from the recent past—most of them at the original locations. At the scene of the crime, you’ll also learn details about the “Celler Loch.” In an informative and entertaining way, “Cellander” will also share some insights into the history of the royal seat and the half-timbered ensemble.
The route is approximately 3 km long and is accessible to people with disabilities. Due to the nature of some of the criminal cases covered, the tour is not suitable for persons under 16 years of age.
The tour begins on the bridge in front of the castle and ends in Celle’s Old Town.
Registration is required. Register directly with tour guide Klaus Waschkewitz at: klaus.waschkewitz@gmx.de or by phone at 0175 3836362.
The tour costs 17€ per person and must be paid on site.
