Weekend workshop with the artist Bernd Sidon.

The course teaches design techniques and ways to transform dried natural materials. These can be dyed, split, compressed, and shaped into various forms. Participants can work on canvases or with free-form objects. In the finished artwork, the materials’ original form is often barely recognizable. This is one of the things that makes nature art so appealing. The naturally occurring objects, now transformed in color, impress with their individuality and beauty. Working together at a leisurely pace in a small group often creates a very relaxed, creative atmosphere. At the end, you’ll have your own artwork, which you can then take home.

Saturday: Sorting through natural materials, brainstorming ideas, starting your own project
Sunday: Creative work with natural materials, paint, canvas, or objects

If there is sufficient interest, there will be another workshop on November 14–15.
