The Hydro-power Plant at Oldau
This hydro-power plant is the only one in northern Germany that has been preserved largely in its original condition.
It is located in Oldau, on an island created by building a canal from the river Aller.
The power station was built between 1910 and 1911.
Guided Tours are available by arrangment, organised by the Heimatverein Hambühren e.V. and cost 2,00 € per person.
