    Measures for improvement:
    We are working to gradually convert existing PDF files into an accessible format or to provide these contents alternatively in HTML format. For new documents, we ensure they are already created to be accessible.
     
• Use of map services on the website
  Justification:
  A cartographic representation is a helpful and very useful addition to information. Cartography is inherently a pictorial representation, which cannot therefore comply with accessibility requirements.
   
• Booking widget (booking system): The booking widget on the booking page currently does not fully meet accessibility requirements. It may present barriers for screen reader users, people with motor disabilities, visual impairments, or cognitive limitations.
  
  Measures for improvement:
  • Communication with the widget provider to improve accessibility
  • Alternative booking by phone (+49 5141 12 4444) or email (tourismus@celle.de)
  • Regular accessibility checks

This website is largely compliant with Directive (EU) 2016/2102, the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard, and the requirements of Section 9b of the Niedersächsisches Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (Lower Saxony Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act – NBGG).
